Welcome to the knowledge center of The TekMindz

Having purchased an electric car, you are sure to have a lot of questions. We answer the most important of these questions in our advice articles.

Find out why you need a charging station, how to charge your electric car efficiently and how to find the charging solution that suits you best.  We also explain some of the technical terms and introduce you to the world of electric mobility.

Vehicle 2 Grid

Vehicle to grid’ technology, also referred to as ‘V2G’ enables energy stored in electric vehicles to be fed back into the national electricity network (or ‘grid’) to help supply energy at times of peak demand. It’s just one technological advancement in a slew of new initiatives like ‘smart charging’ and ‘demand side response’ that are aimed at changing the way individuals, and businesses, use energy in the future. In short: the electric car revolution is tied into a whole new way of consuming energy

OCPP 1.5 , OCPP 1.6

For communication between Charger and the backend Central Server Management System, TekMindz has implemented the commands for the following protocols

  • OCPP 1.5,
  • OCPP 1.6

TekMindz has the hands-on experience of implementing the various specific scenarios encountered i.e. customizations on top of OCPP implementation while integrating OCPP Compliant chargers with the Central Server Management System

Open ADR

OpenADR is an open, highly secure, and two-way information exchange model and global Smart Grid standard. OpenADR standardizes the message format used for Auto-DR and DER management so that dynamic price and reliability signals can be exchanged in a uniform and interoperable fashion among utilities, ISOs, and energy management and control systems. While previously deployed Auto-DR systems are automated, they are not standardized or interoperable.

OCPI

TekMindz has expertise to implement OCPI to communicate between Charge Point Operators and e-Mobility Service Providers. This has enabled EVs to interact with range of different chargers managed by other charging management systems. We have implemented PULL model. PUSH model development is in progress.

We have implemented following modules end points as a CPO and MSP (Both way implementation)
